FRP

recycling of fibre-reinforced polymer composites

Aim of the project

Fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, due to their light weight, structural effectiveness, durability, shapeability and multifunctionality, support the green transition by being widely used in wind farms or transport applications where they limit fuel consumption. However, their green potential is hampered by the slow progress in composite waste management, recyclability and the use of bio-based, renewable or biodegradable materials.

The GREEN-COMP project aims at creating a sustainable Polish-Norwegian ecosystem focused on the recycling of FRP. GREEN-COMP will consist of networking, sharing and transfer of knowledge, experience and best practice between Polish and Norwegian scientific and industrial partners aiming at developing research and innovation cooperation in this domain.

GREEN-COMP will address this issue through the networking and R&D activities.
