GREEN-COMP Project Team Meeting – 10th & 11th January 2024 – Warsaw, Poland
The GREEN-COMP Team two-day meeting was devoted to summarizing the progress achieved during 7 months of the project’s implementation as well as the strategic management of the project, discussions on the next steps, imminent actions, and perspectives for the coming months.
Research and Development Showcases:
The first day of the meeting held at the Air Force Institute of Technology – AFIT. The consortium partners, TMBK Partners Sp. z o.o., AFIT, NOMA Resins Sp. z o.o., Global Consulting Sustainability AS and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology – NTNU, conducted a comprehensive overview of the progress made till now. Moreover, the participants had the exceptional opportunity to learn more about AFIT’s cutting-edge work in research and development within the realm of composites technology. Beyond the presentation, the project partners explored the laboratories dedicated to material engineering tests.
The second day of the meeting was nestled within the inspiring surroundings of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology, the strategic partner of TMBK Partners Sp. z o.o. The day kicked off with an enlightening presentation from Warsaw University of Technology. Following this, TMBK Partners Sp. z o.o. and TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS Foundation showcased their projects, focusing on electrically conductive composites and functional coatings.
A highlight of the day was the exceptional visit to the electron microscopy laboratories, offering the capability to analyze the structure and properties of materials at the atomic level. The Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology is equipped with a state-of-the-art transmission electron microscope, enabling the characterization of materials from metals to semiconductors, ceramics, and polymers.
Work Progress and Future Perspectives:
A pivotal part of the meeting was devoted to the strides made in the realisation of the GREEN-COMP project. Partners shared insights into the progress achieved so far in the main directions of the project, i.e. Life Cycle Assessment, waste management, chemical recycling, and mechanical recycling, fostering a collaborative atmosphere and setting the stage for future accomplishments.
The final segment revolved around the strategic management of our GREEN-COMP project. Discussions on the next steps, imminent actions, and perspectives for the coming months underscored the commitment of all partners to drive the project towards its goals.
Networking:
A guided tour in Warsaw and dinner at the Old Town created a perfect opportunity to forge stronger connections and exchange ideas in a relaxed setting.
